Thermo Sensor signs cooperation agreement with Anne-Frank High School in Werne

Thermo Sensor has signed a cooperation agreement with the Anne-Frank-Gymnasium Werne. On this occasion, on 27.11.2018, the headmaster, Mr. Damberg, and several teachers of the MINT subjects (mathematics, computer science, natural sciences, technology) visited the company.

"We want to give students the opportunity to gain insights into our business: through internships, company visits or as part of their specialist work, "says Birthe Dobslaff, Managing Director of Thermo Sensor.

In addition, Thermo Sensor's cooperation with the Anne Frank Grammar School gives students the opportunity to be enthusiastic about training or dual study at the company.

Thermo Sensor at the "Practical Day of Technology", November 2018

During the "Practical Day of Technology" at the Freiherr-vom-Stein college, we offered two workshops regarding the professions of technical product designers and industrial mechanics.

Under the guidance of our trainees, interested students were able to create a metric M8 thread with a pitch of 1.25 mm and a flank angle of 60° and, using a CAD design program, create individual components and assemble them into modules.

The practical day was aimed at pupils in the grades 9 to 13 and was organized by the Unna County Economic Development Agency.

The interest on the part of the students was very high and our trainees were also able to answer many questions about their everyday work.

"Professional Circle" in Werne, November 2018

On the 8th of November the every year's "Professional Circle" took place in the Kolpinghaus in Werne. Around 160 students from the two Werner Grammar Schools, the St. Christophorus, the Anne Frank Grammar School, from the Freiherr-vom-Stein Berufskolleg and the Marga-Spiegel-Schule have learned about the apprenticeships Industrial Mechanic, Technical Product Designer, Industrial Clerk, Machining Mechanics and Mechatronics also had the opportunity to independently solve a 10-minute job-related work sample.

The students were guided by our trainees Viktoria Teslia (technical product designer in the second year of training) and Georg Wiens (industrial mechanic in the second year of training).

The response was consistently positive and we were able to give many young people an insight into the individual training and we noticed with pleasure that many girls were interested in a technical profession and were not less skilled than the boys.
For us, the professional fair was a complete success and we hope that our local presence gives us the opportunity to win new apprentices from Werne and the surrounding area.

Economic Development Agency visits Thermo Sensor, July 2018

During a visit, Mayor Lothar Christ and economic sponsor Carolin Brautlecht presented the company founder and managing director Waldemar Dobslaff with a unique piece from the Werne Edition. Embedded in the corporate colors of Thermo Sensor, the company logo is displayed next to city motives.

Family Day at Thermo Sensor, July 2018

On 30th of June Thermo Sensor invited all employees including their families for the company’s family day. Under a lovely sun, everybody had the opportunity to get impression of the new site.

Also, the children were entertained: a make-up artist turned the boys and girls into different animals, the kids created their own paintings or just had fun on one of the three jumping castles.

The visitors were also entertained by the magician Flash Gonzalez and the children’s songwriter Thorsten Kremer.

Altogether a successful event for young and old.

Reception at the new company site in Werne, December 2017

On 15th of December all employees were invited to a reception in the new bulding and had the opportunity to get an impression of their new working places.

The restaurant team served delicious food which everybody enjoyed.

Construction Site Party, July 2017

On 22nd July all employees were invited to the company's construcion site party to have a look behind the scenes and into the new building.

Everybody was impressed by the huge size of our new company site and the imposing buildung with its glass facade.

Thanks to the room design plans which were hanging on the walls the employees were able to get an impression of how their workplaces will look like in half a year. All our employees are looking forward to moving into the modern building.
